About the Advanced Valves Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve 20 mm 400 kPa
The Advanced Valves KH1.404CX is a 20 mm FI temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve rated at 400 kPa, fitted to a hot water geyser. It is a vital safety component of the geyser system, venting excess temperature or pressure safely.

The valve is mounted on the geyser, often on the opposite side to the drain cock. It should have a 20 mm metal (copper) pipe connected to it, and that pipe must lead directly out of the building; it must be copper, not plastic. The valve’s pressure rating must match the pressure rating of the geyser, so check your geyser’s rating plate for 400 kPa before ordering, and have it fitted by a qualified plumber.
