Without panels, the battery charges from the grid when power is on and takes over automatically during load-shedding. Panels can be added later on most hybrid inverters. At 100 kW it suits commercial and industrial installations. With about 80% of 120 kWh usable, a 1 kW evening load runs for roughly 96 hours before the battery needs a recharge (an estimate; real runtime depends on the load).
